B18C DC2 Integra Type R 97spec Spoon Sports Long Block. The complete Spoon B18C engine is built and assembled using Honda parts as their base for the highest standards established by Spoon. The core value of a Spoon engine is balancing over power. Spoon weighs each individual component (pistons, connecting rods, wrist pins) down to a fraction of a gram to perfectly match them together. This eliminates high-RPM harmonic vibrations, allowing the engine to rev much smoother and faster while maintaining reliability. Spoon assembles a static balance (weight total of the piston, connecting rods and wrist pins) within 2g of mass production for instance according to the weight allowance 0.02g with skill from Spoons top mechanics that improves accuracy that far exceeds the standard factory mass production Honda engine. The compression ratio is increased to around 11.4:1 with a Spoon 2-ply head gasket to reliably produce 200 hp while maximizing durability.

The details of this specific engine were verified by Type One in Japan, built in June of 2010, originally installed by a Honda Dealer, with approximately 20k miles.
